ExFortuna Survey Association
The formation of the ExFortuna Survey Association was adhoc and commenced as a series of informal social gatherings by serving and past members of the Army Survey Regiment. The aim of the group was to satisfy the need to continue the fellowship and Esprit de Corps that had been so strongly formed by members of the Survey Regiment and the Survey Corps over their years of service together.
In May 1996 the Army Survey Regiment located at Fortuna, Bendigo closed. Through the ExFortuna Survey Association the fellowship between both members of the Army Survey Regiment and past members of the Survey Corps has continued.
As well as organising social gatherings, ExFortuna Survey Association publish a newsletter called “Magna Carto”.

110th RASvy Corps Reunion
Friday 4th July 2025 – Sunday 6th July 2025
The committee of the ExFortuna Survey Association has organised another reunion to coincide with the Corp’s 110th Birthday. An initial expression of interest distributed around the country via state groups has already returned over 200 interested members and partners wishing to attend. See updates below.
Confirmed details of the weekend’s activities are:
Friday 4th July 2025 5pm
Informal meet and greet at Bendigo RSL Havilah Rd.
Members/Guests to organise own meal at the bistro should they desire. The RSL will kindly provide a 20% discount to our members (with vouchers) for meals that evening.
Saturday 5th July 2025 11am
RASvy Plaque unveiling Bendigo RSL Museum. It is also planned that a static display and exhibit of RASvy memorabilia and photos will be open for the months of May, June, July and August at the RSL Soldiers Memorial Institute (Bendigo Military Museum, Pall Mall). There will be an opportunity to view the RASvy Exhibition following the unveiling.
Saturday 5th July 2025 6pm
Dinner at All Seasons Bendigo, cost for meal $60 per head. The ExFortuna Svy Assoc will cover venue hire and attendees will also receive a reunion memento. Name tags will be provided. We have now increased the seating at the dinner to 400 so places are still available but get in quick.
Sunday 6th July 2025 midday
BBQ Lunch at RSL Bendigo Havilah Road, cost $10
Therefore, the weekend reunion cost per head will be $70, ($60 for the Dinner and $10 for the BBQ). Bookings are now open but must include pre-payment with priority given to those who have previously replied to the expression of interest.
Payment can be made to BSB: 633000 Acct Name: Ex-Fortuna Survey Association Acct: 101109718 with your name as reference. It is also requested that an email be sent to that you have made payment. Please advise if you have special dietary requirements. Numbers for the dinner are restricted to 400. Please include preferred contact details and Partners Name in the Email for Name tags and indicate if you plan to attend the Friday “Meet and Greet” for catering voucher issue. Vouchers will be provided for members to redeem RSL Discounts and BBQ meals. Refunds of payments will be recognised up to 2 weeks prior to the event. A confirmation email will be sent to all payees.
Also, check out the RASvy Shop where two new items have been added (an engraved wine glass and an engraved slate coaster, pictures below). These items will only be available for pickup at the RSL BBQ on Sunday should they be ordered: On line ordering though the shop on rasvy.org or to Tracey Phillips or 0438 301 257). The Ex-Fortuna Association will not be offering the postage of ordered glassware, pickup only. Payment can be made with function costs but please provide breakdown of your order in your email.

The ExFortuna Survey Association meet on the First Friday of the month at 5pm at the Bendigo RSL Havilah Road. Tables are booked and members are encouraged to stay for a meal. Any visiting RASvy members are welcome to attend.
The Association march on Anzac Day each year in Bendigo, followed by an informal lunch at the Bendigo RSL Havilah Road and any RASvy members are also welcome to join us. Anzac Day details will be published on the RASvy Facebook site. Please advise the Secretary if you are planning to attend these activities.
